| I could make you one of these for £200K!! |
Why the short price list?
I'm only including the items I regularly get asked for prices on.
My suppliers offer a huge range of product ranging from Isolation transformers for yachts to combination inverter/battery
chargers and auto eject mains sockets for the side of vehicles.
A key part to my service is installation, people do often just want bits to do it themselves, but as a guide price
for a Seylec installed 'workshop vehicle system' consisting of:
1 x Split charger, 1 x 2KW basic Inverter, 25mm cable/conduit kit, suitable fusing and the installation.
The cost will be around £650, I have not included the second battery with this as people often want
to use cheap cranking batteries instead of proper 'traction style' batteries I stock.
This would give you the basics to use the back of a van as a mobile workshop. You can then expand on this
system to run a lightbar on the roof, internal/external work lights and hand washer, etc, (all of which I can supply) without
the worry of flattening your engine battery. This is obviously the same backbone system for boats, emergency vehicles and
trailers though everybody requires something slightly different, so please use the above as a rough rule of thumb.
Lightbars are always down to personal choice, in an ideal World LED bars are best as they use less power compared
to strobes and rotators, but from testing I have been involved in over the years I still find rotators best for daylight and
strobes or LEDs best at night.
At the end of the day an LED bar will due the job and last a lot longer without needing maintenance although
they are still a lot more expensive than the original technologies.
I normally keep a couple of basic Amber bars in stock, blue light stocks I have to get made to order through Federal
Signal or Mercura.
I don't stock cheap imports as reliability of my product and services is very important, especially to emergency
vehicles so if you need a £10 beacon, have a look on ebay.
Please also note I do not supply any blue light, 2 tones or emergency equipment to the general public. For
film and stage use, please call me.
